Compact Design – 4/5
This French press is a stylish decorative piece that is available in polished and brushed finishes. It operates in the same way as other French press devices, by pressing down on coffee grounds that have been brewed in hot water, but this one features a carafe made of opaque stainless steel. Three French presses were tested simultaneously (two were constructed of glass, one of stainless steel), and the results showed that the stainless steel model had better insulation and retained heat for a longer period of time. Moreover, it is resilient and won’t break like glass beakers. This might not be the ideal choice, though, for people who want to watch what happens inside their French press.
The product is available in five sizes: 8, 17, 23, 36, and 44 ounces. We thought the design was tall and stylish overall. We could see how some users could find the thin grip difficult to hold, though. Also, this coffee machine weighs a lot more than versions with glass carafes.
The Frieling stainless steel french press coffee maker has a two-stage filtration system. A note about the plunger. To prevent any sediment from entering your cup, there is a pre-filter and a super-fine mesh filter. We discovered that this coil design and dual filter system made for a remarkably snug fit. Although plunging efficiently catches sediment in the bottom of the carafe, it does take a lot more work than other versions.

Performance: Simple and elegant – 4/5
The Frieling stainless steel french press technique makes it relatively straightforward to prepare French press coffee if you have clear instructions and a measuring spoon. After a few brews, we were able to get used to the fact that we couldn’t see inside the stainless steel carafe.
We were able to stay and enjoy the coffee to its fullest since the bigger model we tried kept the coffee warm for a longer period of time than a glass carafe. Also, the French press has a very artistic appearance on the kitchen counter or breakfast table. That certainly makes a statement.
Filter Type – 5/5
A metal mesh filter is used in the immersion brewing technique known as the French press, which ensures one thing.
French presses are quick and convenient compared to other coffee makers because of their straightforward process. The coffee dregs in the bottom of the cup, however, are what we all seem to agree are the most bothersome part about them. How often have we seen models that promise to produce a beer without any sediment but don’t? Yeah, the Frieling stainless steel french press does—you’ll just have to take our word for it.
After a brief 4-minute soak in hot water, the coffee grounds have a fuller flavor thanks to the use of a revolutionary dual-screen constructed of Italian super-fine mesh that guarantees even more oils are extracted from your coarse coffee grounds. While you won’t even need to unscrew this stainless steel filter if you throw it in the dishwasher, it is rather simple to do so.
Cleaning – 4.5/5
French presses must be disassembled and reassembled each time you brew coffee since cleaning them after each use is necessary to get rid of any bitter residue. Although it might sound like a lot of labor, Frieling makes it simple to complete the process because of the well-designed elements. We only needed a minute to disassemble it, and when everything had been cleaned and rinsed, reassembling it was simple.
The coffee machine is dishwasher-safe, however, be aware that stains might appear on the stainless steel. After each usage, we chose to hand wash and dry the coffee maker, but we still observed that the “polished” finish displayed smudges quickly. To return the initially pristine exterior, it needed a good deal of rubbing with a soft cloth.
Value For Money – 3.5/5
It only loses points for being more expensive than competing versions (some of which also come with twin filters) and the fact that, while having “USA” in its complete name, it is still manufactured in China. We can’t blame the build quality, though, and we still believe it to be a wise purchase that will make you pleased every time you sip a cup of coffee free of sediment. By the way, that will be for a while: the Frieling stainless steel french press has a 5-year warranty, but you can expect it to last you much longer than that given how well-built and sturdy it is compared to other glass French press coffee makers (3) (in fact, we dare you to break it!).
…Do NOT Buy If…
You want to see the extraction process: The Frieling has no obvious flaws, however, because of its premium stainless steel shell, you can’t see your coffee being made, which may upset some people. A model with a glass carafe, like the Kona French Press, would be a better choice for you if you’re one of those people who prefers to see the “hot water and coffee show” with their eyes before it enters their lips.
You’re after a more budget-friendly option: Consider all the money you’ll save by not having to stop at that coffee shop on the way to work for your morning brew; we believe the Frieling will more than pay for itself. But it’s completely fine if you enjoy the thought of owning a huge stainless steel double-walled French press but were looking for a less expensive alternative. Since both coffee makers still have a double-mesh filter, we advise either the Sterling French press or the Coffee Gator French press in such a situation.
Final Verdict
Although we have a few preferred French press designs, the Frieling is hands-down our favorite! Thanks to the mirror or brushed finishes available on its sleek stainless steel design, we enjoy how it manages to be both robust and stylish at the same time. Because it is so strong and resilient, it is ideal for regular travelers as well.
More importantly, compared to other French presses we’ve used, its innovative twin mesh filter produces a gourmet cup of coffee that is genuinely sediment-free. Go no further than the Frieling French press coffee maker if you want to have a high-end coffee break.
