Cuisinart coffee maker annoying beeping?

I am really interested in buying one of Cuisinart coffee makers. I read that it beeps when it finishes brewing and some other time and there is no way to turn the beeping off. Is this correct? Is there any model where it can be done?
I do not care that it is quite, I just do not want to have it... it would be just very annoying thing to have.

I had a Cuisinart Coffee Maker that I bought over a year ago. The beeping was somewhat annoying but I did not really like the coffee machine overall as well as some others.
I am looking into getting a Keurig as I've heard some very good things about them.
Right now, I'm still using my Kitchen Aid coffee maker which I got at Sears and works great.

what is a good coffee maker with a thermal carafe, espresso maker and easy to clean?

i have NO experience making coffee so any help is appreciated

I haven't found a good coffee and espresso maker in one. I prefer the Mr. Coffee thermal carafe coffee makers for regular coffee. Easy to use, easy to clean, strong (no glass) and they make good coffee. (Being able to set things up the night before, and have fresh coffee in the morning, when I'm going to be in a hurry in the morning, is nice too.)

does bunn make a coffee maker for the home with an automatic warmer shut off?

I would love to have a bunn coffee maker for my home. I am spoiled with my cheapo coffee pot's automatic shut off. I have been looking around online and cant seem to find a reasonably priced bunn for the home with the auto shut off. can anyone help?

I didn't check the link.

But, I have used several different coffee makers. It should be keeping your coffee warm for some period of time. If this is a new coffee maker and it's not operating correctly, take it back and get another one. Sears is usually pretty good about that.

1. Read the instruction manual. Do you have to set the warmer plate to stay one. (The manual might be on line if you've lost yours.)

2. Some manufacturers have a hot line you can call for help. So, who makes Kenmore for Sears?

3. If you can't return it, or fix it an alternative solution would be to purchase an insulated coffee carafe. Those things keep coffee hot for several hours without using any energy at all.

I am needing to replace my Mr. Coffee coffeemaker. I have had it for a few years and its time for something new. I have been looking online at amazon and reading reviews. I am just lost. If you are looking to buy a pod coffee maker, you may be a bit hesitant about buying the wrong one. With popularity in the single serve variety growing, more and more companies are coming out with their own versions. So which one should you go with? Read on to find out!

No matter which brand you choose, every pod coffee maker is designed to brew the perfect cuppa. No grinding up beans or measuring out grinds anymore. You just pop the pod in the machine, add water, press the button and you're good to go. And you can forget about pouring yourself a cup only to find it stale and cold because that pot has been sitting around for an hour. Now you can have a fresh cup every single time.

To help narrow down your choices, you can basically break down pod coffee makers into three different categories based on the kinds of pods that they use. They are k-cups, T-discs, and pods.

K-cups are small little pre-measured cups designed to be used with Keurig machines. They come in a multitude of varieties of gourmet coffees as well as teas and hot cocoa. They are simple to use, as you just place the k-cup into the reservoir, and press the button. When you're finished, you just toss the used cup away. If espresso is more to your liking, then Tassimo offers what they refer to as a T DISC. The T DISCs utilize a special bar code printed on the label that will tell the Tassimo pod coffee maker what kind of beverage you are making, the size, as well as brewing time and the proper temperature the water should be. Tassimo offers name brand coffees you love like Starbucks as well as Gevalia. Because of the unique bar code, you can have a steaming cup of cappucino complete with foam using a Tassimo machine.

The third kind of pod coffee maker is universal ones such as the My Cafe by Bunn or the MokAbista by Kenwood. Can a canadian tassimo machine use t discs from the united states?

I bought a tassimo machine and wanted to use the gevalia french vanilla capuccino and hazelnut coffee t discs. These arent available on the canadian website though and i was wondering if i ordered them from the USA website or somewhere else if they would work. Since they all read the bar codes im not sure if the bar codes would be compatible. Thanks in advance for any help!

The title of this article may seem silly at first glance. After all, how difficult is it to heat water? On the surface, the answer to this question is obvious; however, there is more to heating water than just placing a saucepan on your stovetop, particularly when the water will be used to brew coffee. Because most people drink coffee first thing in the morning, time is of the essence, and waiting for the water to boil on the stovetop is simply not acceptable. Another important consideration is the temperature of the water, since coffee is best brewed at a temperature between 195-205F. Temperatures outside of this recommended range will likely produce a poor cup of coffee, since the extraction process will be negatively affected. The solution to these issues is the electric kettle - a device that can boil 16 ounces of water in just 2 minutes. As with most coffee-related devices, there are many different options when it comes to electric kettles. The following article will list the important features to consider before purchasing a kettle.

Corded vs. Cordless

I have owned both models and vastly prefer the cordless model for ease of use and for safety reasons. A cordless electric kettle can be transported around the kitchen or the office, which comes in handy when the electrical outlet is located away from your French press or other manual small coffee maker. When holding a vessel containing boiling water it's also a good idea not to have it attached to a cord that can easily become tangled or tripped over. Cordless electric kettles are also much easier to pour than corded models, since they allow for freedom of movement.

Fixed or Variable Temperature

Because coffee is best brewed within a specific temperature range, purchasing a kettle with specific temperature set points is a good idea. Automatic Shutoff

For safety reasons it's important that the model you choose contain an auto shutoff feature that will automatically shut off the kettle once the water has reached the boiling point. While most electric kettles now contain this feature, there are models available that do not. Be certain to look closely for this in the product reviews or literature.

Choosing an electric kettle can help you brew coffee more efficiently and at the proper temperature. Have you ever walked into a coffee shop or the coffee aisle at your grocery store and felt overwhelmed by all of the choices? There's a million different things to choose from, including the type of roast.

I've definitely been there. I've been known to walk into my favorite coffee shop and go eeny, meeny, miny, moe to pick a coffee. I always drifted towards darker roasts because they were so much smoother and sweeter. However, I've learned that the lighter roasts pack all of the caffeine and anyone that knows me, knows that I need as much caffeine as I can possibly get in ever sip.

I knew that the bean color was determined by the way they were roasted, but that was just about it and I really didn't know what it all meant.

I started to do more research and talked to several coffee "experts" so that I and now you could get the best tasting cup of coffee.

One of the first things that I learned, is that the darker a bean, the longer it was in the coffee roaster. A darker roasts tastes smoother because it has less fiber and has a more sugary flavor.

A lighter roast, that spends less time in a roaster has more caffeine, but also has a slightly bitter taste. It also has a stronger flavor because the aromatic oils don't get destroyed during the short roast.

Here's what you need to know so far:

Dark Roasts = Smooth and Sugary. Light Roasts = Bitter And Chock Full Of Caffeine.

A more in depth look:

The creation of coffee starts with raw or unroasted beans that are green. If you have a coffee roaster, you can roast your own beans and you're probably way too overqualified to be reading this article. For the rest of us, green beans are pretty much useless.

Light Roast:

Light roasts usually equals poor quality coffee because the beans are acidic, but they are full of caffeine.

A few examples:

• New England Roast
• Half City Roast
• Cinnamon Roast - The cinnamon roast has a dry surface with no oils and the flavor is light bodied.

Medium Roast:

When they keep it in the roaster a little longer, you get a medium roast.  It's traditionally a breakfast coffee with good level of acidity and clean finish. It has a balanced body of flavor, which I'm told is a good thing. You can find it in grocery stores and is good for drip coffee makers, or other words, it's an every day type of coffee.

• Breakfast Roast - Slightly sweeter than a light roast
• American Roast - Not as dark as European roasts and generally considered to have a good aroma.
• City Roast - Slightly darker than the American Roast

Medium Dark Roast:

Beans that are roasted for a longer time are considered a Medium Dark Roast. They're roasted long enough to bring out the natural oil of the coffee to the surface of the bean. They have low levels of caffeine and acidity. They have a bittersweet flavor with a full body. It's commonly used in cafes and coffee shops.

• French Roast - Also goes under the name dark roast. It's used to make espresso.
• Continental Roast - It's slightly lighter and has a spicy body.
• Viennese Roast - It spends slightly longer in the roast than American roast and has a rich, chocolaty body.

Dark Roast:

Italian Roast - This bean spends the longest time in the roaster. It's roasted until the bean is almost jet black so it has a smoky, well roasted taste and masks the natural coffee bean flavor.

One last note. Just because they're called French or Italian roasts, doesn't mean that it's actually from there, it's just referring to the type of roast.

First, let us take a look at the Zojirushi EC-DAC50 5 Cup Drip Coffee Maker. Zojirushi is known for making quality coffee machine, and this one is no exception. It looks distinct and very compact, and it is very attractive. This is pretty expensive though, and the most expensive among the three coffee makers that we are looking at in this article.

I like coffee to be piping hot. I tried Senseo. 5 different Mr. Coffee machines, GE, Perculators, even a $100 Bunn. They all make coffee that is only warm to me. So who is really happy with their coffee maker? What is the hotest brand out there. You can tell I'm very into my coffee. It is the first thing I care about in the morning, and I have about 8-10 cups a day, so its only natural that I want it my way.
I suspect that the manufacturers produce their machines to work with lower temperature water for safety reasons. But all elecrtic kettles, stoves and ovens go to propper temps. Why should my coffee suffer? Do I need to pay $250 for a commercial brewer?

I know your problem, my fix has been to pop my cup in the microwave for about 30 seconds and give my cup an extra zap of heat.

You might also try warming your cup before you fill it with coffee by running it under hot water for a minute.
